When you order a peptide from a supplier and receive a certificate of analysis (COA) claiming 99% purity, the credibility of that number depends entirely on who tested it and under what quality standards. ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is the international standard that separates a trustworthy lab report from a claim with no backing. ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. It is published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and specifies requirements for the competence, impartiality, and consistent operation of laboratories that perform testing, calibration, and related activities.

"ISO 17025 labs are the only trustworthy labs." Accreditation is the gold standard, but some excellent labs (e.g., university research labs) may not be formally accredited because they don't conduct commercial testing.
